From Manaus, One-Day Amazon Jungle Experience

Experience an unforgettable full-day Amazon adventure encompassing jungle trekking, swimming with pink dolphins, dining with a local family, fishing for piranhas, and observing alligators.

On waking up each morning, guests will be picked up from their accommodation at around 8:00 AM. Following an initial drive westward from Manaus, lasting approximately one hour, they will proceed to the Castanho Lake. At this location, their host will greet them and prepare them for the subsequent activities.

Following the arrival at the lake, participants will take a motorized canoe journey into the dense jungle. This excursion is scheduled to last two hours, during which visitors will engage in a guided tour focusing on the diverse array of Amazonian fauna and flora, as well as exploring various medicinal plants and learning about jungle survival techniques.

This introduction to the natural world will culminate with a visit to a conservation project aimed at protecting the region’s iconic pink river dolphins. Participants will have the rare chance to observe and even interact with these gentle giants in their natural habitat. For those interested, waterproof clothing should be worn along with appropriate footwear and insect repellent.

After the exploration, the group will venture to the host's residence to partake in a sumptuous meal prepared by their family. Here, guests will gain insights into the cultural traditions and historical context of the Amazon basin.

Following the communal meal, the group will embark upon a thrilling boat ride through the flooded forests, designed specifically for catching piranhas known for their fierce reputation among locals. While ensuring safety precautions such as sun protection and hats, guests will also carry beach towels to make the most of the experience.

In the evening, the group will undertake a nighttime expedition searching for alligator species and other nocturnal wildlife. Upon returning to the vehicle, travelers will arrive back at their accommodations by approximately 8:00 PM, ready for another day's adventure or relaxation.

Throughout the entire itinerary, every participant is encouraged to bring a flashlight for additional illumination, enhancing their experience while navigating through potentially darkened areas.
