This scenic route begins on the western slope of the Sete Cidades Ridges, situated within the island’s Natural Park. At this elevated vantage point, one can admire the breathtaking vistas including Caldeira Seca and Lagoa das Sete Cidades on the right-hand side, while the picturesque coastline of São Miguel Island unfolds on the opposite shore.
Upon reaching the Vista do Rei viewpoint, proceed along a well-marked dirt road that leads to the Lomba do Vasco viewpoint. From here, continue straight ahead into the historic parish of Sete Cidades.
