Departing Ucagiz at 09:30 am, accompanied by a motorized support vessel, we proceed southwest along the coastline towards Kekova Island. Upon arrival at Tersane Bay at 10:15 am, we embark upon a leisurely kayak expedition through the ancient Lycian Sunken City of Kekova. Given its protected status, swimming activities are prohibited within this site. Consequently, kayaking offers the ideal opportunity to explore the Sunken City, capturing unparalleled photographic opportunities.
Following our exploration of Kekova, we continue our journey towards Simena. Arriving at Simena at 11:30 am, we park in Kaleköy, where we spend approximately 45 minutes exploring the remnants of the ancient Simena Castle. This historical site features both the castle ruins and a necropolis, offering visitors a glimpse into the past. Alternatively, those desiring a different perspective might choose to immerse themselves further in the beauty of Simena by taking another dip in the emerald-blue waters surrounding the area.
As the day progresses, we set out for Theimussa, pausing briefly en route for an up-close inspection of more significant Lycian sarcophagi. Returning to our kayak base after enjoying the sights of Theimussa, we prepare for our final leg of the journey. At 13:15 pm, we conclude our tour with a delightful meal at the kayaking base.
