Upon departure from Port Douglas' Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina at 8:10 am, Wavelength embarks on a 90-minute voyage to the edge of the continental shelf. As part of the journey, passing Low Isles, we frequently encounter dolphins and, during winter months, we may observe humpback whales. Upon arrival at the outer reef, the snorkeling advisor conducts a thorough safety briefing followed by a demonstration of snorkeling gear. Marine biologists provide tips on identifying unique species to enhance the snorkeling experience.

Snorkeling Experience
Guests are encouraged to explore the reef under the guidance of experienced crew members. Unlike other operators, Wavelength spends additional time in the water with each guest to assist in getting started and pointing out noteworthy features.

Second Site Exploration
Afternoon tea provides ample time for relaxation and exploration. At the second designated site, knowledgeable marine biologists lead guided snorkel tours, uncovering hidden gems within the diverse coral formations. Guests are allowed to take home small samples of various marine life, adhering to strict guidelines to preserve the reef's natural balance.

Delicious Lunch
Enjoy a delightful deli-style lunch featuring gourmet rolls or food bowls suitable for special dietary needs. Soft drinks, coffee, and tea are also offered. Special consideration is given to accommodating individuals with lactose or gluten-free diets; however, shrimp are excluded due to significant by-catch concerns, and red meats are avoided as they contribute minimally to greenhouse gas emissions.

Final Site Adventure

Back at Port Douglas, Wavelength returns around 4:00 pm, ensuring a seamless transition into evening activities or restful hours before bedtime.
