The tour starts in front of the Leineschloss and takes you through Calenberger Neustadt, Hannover's oldest neighbourhood. Here you can experience culture, history and tradition up close. Visit the "Göttinger Sieben", the river water art and the Leine. Discover the Duve fountain and the sculpture mile with the famous, large, funny and colourful Nanas.
The tour continues to St Clemens Basilica and through Rote Reihe, where you can learn more about the history of the synagogue. You'll get to know, where Fritz Haarmann ("Der Totmacher") lived, before you'll visit the memorial to Heinrich Daniel Rühmkorff and the St John's Church.
You can take a break at Neustädter Markt and admire the table fountain.
After you've passed the 2.3 metre large wishing stone and the impressive City hall the tour ends in Maschpark, a 10-hectare park to the south of the old town centre.
Along the way, you will solve small tasks and puzzles and learn exciting stories about the city. Who knows, for example, what ... but no, we won't tell you yet!
The tour is wheelchair accessible and takes around 3.5 hours.
