Experience an immersive adventure in the heart of the Amazon by embarking on a tour that includes visiting the Monkey Island, where visitors can observe these intelligent primates in their natural environment. Additionally, explore the rich cultural heritage of the local communities through engaging interactions and savor a delicious traditional meal.
At the scheduled meeting point, we will commence our journey aboard the vessel bound for Monkey Island. Upon arrival, we embark upon the river voyage, traversing the Itaya and Amazon rivers. This expedition offers an opportunity to uncover the untold wonders of these expansive waterways, where one can marvel at the diverse array of flora and fauna. A notable highlight includes a visit to Fundo Pedrito, where visitors have the chance to observe various aquatic creatures such as caimans, lizards, turtles, piranhas, paichas, and the majestic Victoria Regia. Depending on the season, guests might witness dolphins frolicking alongside the vessel.
Following this encounter with the aquatic wildlife, we proceed to engage with a local indigenous community, gaining insight into their lifestyle and participating in cultural performances. Post-lunch, we pause for rest before concluding our exploration. After approximately two hours of navigation, we reach Monkey Island, officially designated as the Rolling Island Project. This initiative aims to provide a haven for numerous primate species, facilitating their reintroduction back into their natural habitats.
Upon disembarking the vessel, visitors have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves within the sanctified environment, observing the daily activities of the primate population on the island. Engaging closely with the inhabitants, participants are invited to offer food, further fostering a sense of connection with these fascinating creatures. Following this experience, we conclude our journey with a traditional farewell meal and, ultimately, a return to the Amazon and Itaya River systems, ensuring a seamless transition to your accommodation.
