Jeju, Eastern Jeju Highlights Day Trip

Explore the natural wonders and cultural heritage of Jeju Island with this comprehensive day trip, which offers access to the Jeju Folklore and Natural History Museum, the picturesque Bijarim Forest, and the breathtaking Seongsan Ilchulbong.

Please meet us at either of the two designated pickup locations within Jeju City. Your journey commences at 08:20 from the Shilla Duty Free Shop Parking Lot, located across from Maison Glad Jeju. Alternatively, you may arrive at the pick-up point at 08:50 from the vicinity of Ocean Suites Hotel, approximately 6 minutes away via foot.

Your first stop upon arrival will be Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum, where you will explore the fascinating geological processes, natural resources, life styles of Jeju Islanders, and local cultural heritage. Following this, we proceed to Seongeup Folk Village, preserving an authentic old Jeju settlement nestled below Mount Halla. This village offers a glimpse into traditional Jeju life, allowing you to witness living customs and ancient traditions preserved here.

Following our visit, enjoy a meal at a nearby restaurant or bring your own lunch (not included). Proceeding onward, we travel to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, a unique water-based volcano standing proud above the ocean, recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Named after both "Seongsan," meaning "mountain castle," and "Ilchulbong," this scenic spot features a vast 265,000 square meter crater rimming with dramatic beauty.

Next, take part in a breathtaking Haenyeo Diving Show, showcasing a vital yet rapidly diminishing Jeju tradition. Only around 5,000 Haenyeo remain, dedicated to maintaining the practice of underwater farming. These skilled women can stay submerged for up to 3 minutes, harvesting sea cucumbers, abalones, and seaweed from the deep blue waters.

We then continue to the Bijarim Forest, a lush 500-800-year-old forest renowned for its rare nutmeg trees. This serene environment provides ample opportunities for relaxation, offering tranquil walks amidst towering forests and providing cool relief from the heat.

As we conclude our tour, we reach Hamdeok Beach, home to an array of striking emerald gemstones. Relax under tall palm trees, admire the contrasting emerald waters and white sands, along with the pristine clarity of the crystal-clear waters and mesmerizing white waves. Hamdeok Beach is often regarded among Jeju's top three beaches, reflecting its exceptional natural beauty.

Upon completion of our tour, we will return you to the location where you were picked up in Jeju City.
