Kamakura - Forgotten history of Japan

A comprehensive day trip experience invites visitors to explore one of Japan’s ancient capital cities. This itinerary includes a visit to the majestic Great Buddha of Kamakura (Daibutsu), an awe-inspiring statue dating back to the early 20th century. Additionally, guests can immerse themselves in the rich history and spirituality of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, a significant Shinto shrine established in the eleventh century.

We shall commence our journey at the hotel reception, subsequently procuring transportation via Japan's robust rail infrastructure. Our initial destination lies in Kita-Kamakura, an area renowned for its historical significance, particularly highlighted by the presence of the venerable Kencho-ji Temple, an integral component of Japanese Buddhist culture.

Upon reaching Kita-Kamakura, we shall proceed to explore Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū, Kamakura's premier Shinto shrine, dating back to its inception. Having concluded our day in Hase, we shall return to Kamakura, embarking upon a delightful culinary experience with numerous dining establishments scattered throughout the area. Post-dinner, we shall retrace our steps to Kamakura, concluding our excursion into the heart of Japan's cultural tapestry.
