Khujand - One Day Tour From Tashkent

Khodjant has been referred to by scholars, poets, and authors as the "Crown of the World," and it is considered one of the oldest cities in Central Asia. Additionally, it serves as the largest and most populous urban center within Northern Tajikistan.

Transferring to the border with Tajikistan, travelers will proceed through Check Point Oybek, located approximately 100 kilometers from the destination. This checkpoint is situated at a distance of 2 hours' drive and requires customs procedures for both individuals and vehicles.

Upon arrival in Khujand, the journey concludes as the traveler begins their exploration of the city. Khujand, once an important strategic location under the rule of Alexander the Great, was subsequently conquered by the Arabs in the VIII century and faced opposition from the Chingizkhan army. Despite these challenges, the city eventually recovered and became one of the most significant commercial, cultural, and scientific hubs within Central Asia during the XIII century.

One notable architectural wonder in Khujand is the Palace of Arbob, constructed by Saidhodzha Urunhodzhaev in 1959. Inspired by the Russian Petergof Palace, this structure represents the architect's vision of preserving his heritage while incorporating modern elements into traditional design. Additionally, the Palace hosted the XVI Session of the Transcaspian Socialist Soviet Republic (TRSS).

Travelers can then continue their journey towards the border with Uzbekistan, passing through Check Point Oybek again after covering a distance of 70 kilometers. Customs procedures will take place at this checkpoint, followed by a transfer to Tashkent, which lies approximately 100 kilometers away and takes around two hours.

Upon arriving in Tashkent, visitors will have concluded their tours and may depart from the city.
