Materuni waterfall, coffee tour and Chemka Hotsprings

Following this, we proceed to indulge in a sumptuous meal, and conclude our journey with a rejuvenating soak at the serene Chemka Hot Spring.

This expedition commences with a journey to Materuni Waterfall, situated just beyond Kilimanjaro National Park. This remarkable waterfall stands at an impressive elevation of 85 meters and is considered one of the tallest in Tanzania's northern region. Upon arrival in Materuni Village, travelers embark on a leisurely 40-minute trek towards the falls. Upon reaching the base, visitors can immerse themselves in the refreshing waters of this natural wonder.

Upon exiting the waterfall, participants proceed to a nearby community to engage in a comprehensive educational session centered around the cultivation of Arabica coffee beans. Guided through the process of preparing coffee manually, utilizing traditional tools and methods specific to the area, guests are invited to taste their handcrafted brews. A light meal featuring typical Tanzanian cuisine follows, offering a delightful contrast to the day’s activities.

The final leg of the excursion takes us to Chemka Hot Springs, renowned for their serene pools surrounded by lush vegetation. Guests are encouraged to indulge in a rejuvenating swim within these natural thermal baths, providing much-needed relief after days spent exploring the diverse landscapes of Tanzania. Following the bath, travelers return to Arusha, ready for their departure at the agreed-upon location.
