A guided tour offering an exceptional experience encompasses a scenic drive through the Mont-Dore region, where one encounters the highest peak and the revered spring water fountain, known as the iconic spring water fountain. This picturesque destination features a 15-minute photo opportunity. Subsequently, travelers proceed to the Nouville peninsula, where they can marvel at the remnants of the first colonial settlement and gain insights into the lives of the convicts who once resided there. Following this, a brief visit to the Colonial Penitentiary Museum lasts for another 15 minutes. The final segment of the tour takes place at the Maritime Museum, where visitors have the chance to explore the remarkable voyage undertaken by the French explorer Lapérouse and delve into the rich history surrounding the famous Amedée Lighthouse.
