Explore the captivating Atlantic Road, renowned for its breathtaking coastal vistas, particularly admired from the Varden viewpoint overlooking Molde.

Our excursion commences in Molde, the capital of the Romsdal province. Nestled on the banks of the Romsdalsfjord, the city is enveloped by 222 predominantly snow-covered mountain peaks.

Following our initial departure from Molde, we traverse through the city's renowned hiking and skiing zones and the marble-strewn mountains directly towards Norway's celebrated Coastal Highway—the Atlantic Road. This distinctive and awe-inspiring series of bridges connects various islands and reefs, earning the moniker of "Norway's Building of the Century" in 2005. During a 30-minute photo stop, we can marvel at this harmonious blend of nature and contemporary architectural prowess.

Continuing our journey along the enchanting Hustadvika Coast, characterized by towering cliffs, vibrant reefs, and pristine sandy beaches, we proceed to Molde via the birthplace of the beloved Jarlsberg cheese and one of Norway’s largest natural gas reserves.

As our exploration concludes, we approach the majestic Varden viewpoint, standing at an elevation of 407 meters above sea level. At this picturesque location, we are afforded a panoramic vista of the fjord landscape, comprising countless small islands, the bustling cityscape, and its imposing mountain backdrop. Before returning to the harbor, there remains ample time for a leisurely city tour.
