Mornington, Port Phillip Bay Water Bike Tour

Location Beleura Cliff, Mornington Peninsula, Mornington peninsula, Australia

Waterbikes Australia

Experience an immersive coastal exploration of Mornington, commencing with a scenic journey along its waterfront, passing through Mills Beach and Sunnyside North Beach. Embark upon this adventure for a thrilling ride on a water bike, offering panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay's captivating landscapes.

Participants will commence their journey with a comprehensive safety briefing and detailed operational overview. Following this, they will be fitted for their chosen waterbike model - either Recumbent or Upright - and secured in lifejackets prior to embarking from Mothers Beach, Mornington. Upon departure, the tour will traverse through Mornington Harbour amidst the yacht moorings, maintaining vigilance for large stingrays while heading north towards Mills Beach.

Proceeding further, the group will navigate past Beleura Cliff Lookout and the elevated grounds of Mornington Golf Club, which overlooks the cliffs. Shortly thereafter, they will encounter Morning Star Beach, featuring Reginald Ansett's innovative yet modest post-World War II hotel, Hotel Manyung, set within agricultural fields. As they continue on, attention shifts away from the shoreline, allowing them to observe the beautiful scenery around them.

Upon reaching their destination, the tour will make a brief detour into Sunnyside North Beach, Victoria's final untouched clothing optional beach. The route then transitions into open waters, where the participants' keen eyes remain vigilant for the region's resident bottlenose dolphins, who frequently inhabit this area. Participants will enjoy a leisurely pedal back towards Schnapper Point, the original name of Mornington Township. Finally, the tour concludes at Mothers Beach, adjacent to The Rocks Mornington, providing an optimal spot for refueling and relaxation.
