Mount Rinjani 2D/1N Crater Rim & Summit

Two-day, one-night mount Rinjani trekking expedition commences from Sembalan Village to the Crater Rim Sembalun, culminating with ascent to the summit and return to Sembalan Village.

Description

On Day 1:

Upon waking after breakfast, guests will be transported to Sembalun Village aboard a specially designed mountain vehicle. This journey takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Upon arrival, guests will proceed to the Rinjani Information Center (RIC), located at 1,051 meters above sea level, followed by Post 1 (Monitoring Post), situated at 1,300 meters, which requires a duration of 2 hours. A brief pause of 5 to 10 minutes will occur at Post 1 before continuing to Post 2 (Tengengean), located at 1,500 meters, where another 1-hour stop is scheduled. Next, guests will reach Post 3 (Pada Balong), situated at 1,800 meters, for a 2-hour stay during which they will enjoy a meal and refreshments. The final stage involves reaching Sembalun Crater Rim, standing at 2,639 meters, taking approximately 3 hours. Accommodation will be arranged for overnight stays on the crater rim, allowing guests to witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over Segara Anak Lake and Sembalun village.

On Day 2:

The day begins early, with guests rising at 02:30 AM should they wish to experience the mesmerizing sunrise. They will then proceed to Rinjani's summit, starting their ascent around 3:00 AM, aiming to cover a distance of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The first leg comprises a moderate climb lasting 2 hours, followed by a relatively gentle yet lengthy trek that extends into the latter part of the expedition. The final stretch is characterized by significant inclines and occasional slips due to loose stones, making this phase challenging and demanding. Upon reaching the summit, guests will marvel at panoramic vistas of Lombok Island, Bali, Mt. Tambora in Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake. Following the morning's activities, guests will descend back to the Sembalun Crater Rim, enjoying a light breakfast along the way. Resting briefly, they will resume their descent towards Sembalun village, arriving there around midday. The group will be met by a waiting vehicle to transport them to Senaru village, concluding their adventure.
