Starting your journey in Kinidaros, a picturesque village situated amidst towering marble quarries, you will begin your trek towards the charming town of Music. Known for its rich musical heritage, Kinidaros boasts a diverse population of skilled musicians who keep the Cycladic folk music tradition alive and well. As you venture further, the trail transitions into a cobblestoned path leading down to the nearby river, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the Aegean Sea. Upon reaching the riverbanks, the landscape transforms dramatically, revealing the cool, shaded paths of abandoned watermills and lush greenery alongside the restored 18th-century stone bridge, Mill of Hadji.

Following this, the route leads you through a dense network of plane trees and reed beds, eventually bringing you to the ancient tower of the Pradouna Elders. This architectural marvel serves as a gateway to the traditional farm settlement of Mesa Geitonia, where you can explore the region’s agricultural history.
Your final destination lies in the heart of Eggares, an old, tranquil farming village enveloped by a fertile plain. Here, you will find one of Naxos’s oldest remaining olive mills, the Eggares Olive Press, meticulously restored and dating back to at least the late 1800s. During your visit, enjoy a leisurely meal at one of the village’s renowned traditional tavernas, where you will savor the local cuisine and immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of Naxos.
Once your tour concludes, you will be transported back to your accommodation, marking the end of your enchanting journey through the countryside of Naxos.
