Upon reaching the Mokoro Station, visitors will be transported via a skilled team of guides and Mokoro Polers into their vessels for an enriching experience. This journey allows participants to observe wildlife from the water's edge, engage in guided walks across an uninhabited island where traditional medicinal plants and herbs can be discovered, and explore the Delta’s dense Papyrus and reed beds. Participants will also enjoy opportunities to swim in carefully selected areas and learn the art of navigating the Mokoro. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to witness various aquatic and terrestrial wildlife up close.

Accommodation is included throughout this adventure. A full-day Mokoro excursion commences shortly after 08:00 AM, concluding around 4 PM in Maun.

  • There are three pickup locations available: Cresta Maun Hotel, Cresta Riley's Hotel, and Maun Lodge. Additionally, there are two drop-off locations: Cresta Maun Hotel and Maun Lodge.
  • The itinerary includes a game drive lasting for 3 hours at the Okavango Delta followed by a boat cruise of equal duration.

  • Upon reaching the Mokoro Station, one shall be transported aboard a professionally guided Mokoro by skilled Mokoro Polers. This excursion encompasses the opportunity to observe wildlife from the water, engage in walking tours on the island, where residents traditionally utilized medicinal plants for their health needs. Participants will also navigate the Delta region amidst reeds and tall grasses, potentially engaging in swimming at authorized spots and learning navigation techniques with their Mokoro Polers.
  • The itinerary concludes with an encounter with various aquatic and terrestrial wildlife species within close proximity. Accommodation is arranged for overnight stays in Maun.
  • For a full-day Mokoro tour starting after breakfast, the journey will conclude around 4:00 PM.
