The term "Amboseli" originates from the Maasai language, denoting "salty dust," and represents an exceptional destination within Africa for observing substantial elephant herds at close range.
On Day One, guests will be picked up from either their Nairobi hotel/residence or Nairobi airport at 07:30 AM. They will proceed towards the Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The journey through the savannah landscape features local homesteads and colorful Masai herders grazing cattle amidst this picturesque backdrop.
Upon arrival at the Amboseli National Park, guests will have ample time for lunch. Following the meal, they will embark on an afternoon game viewing drive aimed at observing elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, ostriches, and other species.
The summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, known as Africa's tallest and highest free-standing mountain, can be seen dominating the horizon during the ascent to the lodge. This iconic natural landmark provides a breathtaking view of the wildlife and landscapes within the park.
Guests will spend the night at Aalo Lodges, located near Amboseli National Park.
On Day Two, guests will begin their exploration by viewing Mount Kilimanjaro from the lodge early in the morning at 06:00 AM. Breakfast will commence around 06:30 AM until 07:00 AM before departing for a half-day game drive in the park. Afterward, they will enjoy lunch at Ol Tutuki Lodge (http://www.oltukailodge.com/), followed by a return trip to Nairobi. Upon reaching Nairobi, there will be a convenient drop-off service available at either the guest's hotel or airport.
