Tianmen Mountain National Park, Zhangjiajie, China
Experience the breathtaking beauty of Tianmen Mountain by strolling across its iconic transparent glass bridge, taking a thrilling ride on Asia's longest cable car, walking along the Skyways, climbing the majestic 999-steps to Heaven's Door, and marveling at the stunning aerial vistas from this awe-inspiring mountain peak.
A leisurely breakfast is scheduled for guests departing from their accommodation located in Zhangjiajie Hotel Lobby at 8:30 am. Following breakfast, guests will be collected by a dedicated guide and driver who will transport them to Tianmen Mountain via a scenic cable car route. Spanning an impressive length of 4.6 miles (7.5 kilometers), this journey offers breathtaking panoramic vistas, including a mesmerizing view of Tianmen (Heaven’s Door) Mountain. This iconic attraction boasts the longest cable car ride in Asia and requires approximately 30 minutes to complete from the city center.
Upon reaching Tianmen Mountain, guests will embark on two distinct travel routes – Line A and Line B. Line B operates opposite the direction of Line A, ensuring seamless transitions between the two routes. Our itinerary includes exploring the vertiginous Skyways, which consist of transparent glass walkways designed to provide awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountainous terrain and the unique karst landscapes. Guests should wear shoe covers during this part of the tour to protect the fragile glass surfaces.
Following the ascent, guests will proceed to the Tianmen Dong (Heaven’s Door Cave). This monumental natural formation, carved into the mountainside, serves as a gateway offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding area. Visitors will traverse a series of 999 steps leading to the cave entrance, varying in difficulty based on individual fitness levels. Upon arrival, guests will engage in a guided exploration, utilizing specialized equipment to enhance their viewing experience.
Descending from the peak, guests will utilize another cable car system to reach lower elevations. In the late afternoon, guests will be transported to the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, where they will witness a truly extraordinary sight – the world's longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge. Standing upon this marvel of engineering, guests will appreciate the thrill of walking just 375 meters above ground level, providing unparalleled vantage points over the canyon below.
Should additional excitement be desired, guests may opt to participate in a thrilling zip line descent followed by a 600-meter-long slide. During this segment, guests will don protective gear to safeguard their hands while enjoying the exhilarating sensation of sliding through the gorge.
This exclusive tour allows for flexibility in timing, accommodating various preferences and interests. After completing the tour, guests will be transferred to Zhangjiajie Bus Station, Train Station, Airport, or their downtown Zhangjiajie hotel.
