The expedition commences with a scheduled departure from our pickup location at 9:00 a.m. We embark on a journey aboard a vessel bound for the Madre de Dios River. Upon arrival at the port, we proceed to our accommodation site, located within the Tambopata Reserve.

Following this, we undertake a rigorous one-hour trek towards the entrance of the reserve's core area. Our objective here is to reach the Sandoval Lake, which promises an array of wildlife encounters. As we reach the shore, we engage in a leisurely paddle along the picturesque lake. This excursion provides ample opportunities to observe various species such as river otters, avian inhabitants, and reptiles.
