Rainbow Mountain, Private Tour - Full day

The newly streamlined and simplified program now enables visitors to explore the vibrant Rainbow Mountain, commonly referred to as Vinicunca, within a single-day journey through the Ausangate region.

Please note that our transportation service will commence at 4:00 AM from your accommodation in Cusco. This journey will transport you through the southern region of Cusco, eventually arriving at the charming town of Cusipata. During this 2-hour excursion, you will have access to the facilities located within the town, including restrooms and an opportunity for additional breakfast. Subsequently, at around 8:00 AM, we will proceed with our itinerary towards the "Rainbow Mountain," which we shall traverse via automobile over a duration of approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Upon arrival at the summit, we will ascend to the highest viewpoint of the Rainbow Mountain, situated at an elevation of 15,180 feet above sea level. This ascent involves a gradual climb of roughly 4 kilometers or 2.5 miles, culminating in a height of 16,619 feet.

Upon reaching the top, we will allocate ample time to appreciate the breathtaking vistas encompassing the stunning landscape, diverse wildlife such as herds of alpacas and llamas, the Ausangate Mountain, numerous reddish-colored peaks, and traditional structures characteristic of the indigenous population. The commencement point of our journey stands at an altitude of 15,180 feet, where we will embark upon a strenuous trek to the highest viewpoint of the Rainbow Mountain, marked by its peak at 16,619 feet. The entire ascent will require approximately 1.5 hours of steady climbing, covering a distance of 4 kilometers or 2.5 miles.

Our route will allow us ample opportunities to capture panoramic shots of the surrounding scenery, ensuring that each viewpoint is explored for no less than 30 minutes and no longer than an hour. Following the completion of our expedition, we will undertake a descent back down to the starting point. This segment will necessitate approximately one hour of travel. Thereafter, we will return to Cusipata and make our way to the restaurant for a leisurely meal. Post-dinner, we will resume our journey and depart for Cusco, ultimately dropping off at your hotel at approximately 4:00 PM.
