Salkantay Trek with return train 4 Days 3 Nights

This tour is for adventure and trekking lovers, you will observe incredible landscapes. We will visit the Humantay lagoon, pass through Salkantay, Santa Teresa and finally Machupicchu.

Day 1: Cusco - Soraypampa - Humantay Lake -Salkantay Pass

This day we will start by picking you up from your hotel at 5:30 am and drive to Mollepata for two hours where we will have breakfast. Then we will continue by car 1 hour more until we arrive to Soraypampa where we will meet the horsemen and the horse that will carry all the luggage, food and the 7 kilos of belongings of each hiker. We will start our hike uphill to the Humantay lagoon for 2 hours approximately, we will walk around the place and then we will start the descent for 2 hours to Soraypampa and we will continue to the Salkantay pass camp.
At this point we will enjoy a delicious lunch, we will also have free time to explore the place or rest.

Day 2: Salkantay Pass - Wuayracmachay - Camp Chaullay
This is the second day of our trek, it will be the most difficult because it will take you up to 4630m and 20 km of walking. The cooks will wake up around 5:00 am and wait for us with a cup of hot coca tea, then you will have time to repack your bags and get ready to have breakfast which will be served around 5:45 am.

Then we will begin our hike to the highest point of the Salkantay Trail (4630 m). Here the guide will teach us about the gods of the mountain and you will also be part of the small Andean ritual of the Apus, which are the gods of the mountain. Then we will continue descending for 3 hours to the second camp, which is Chaullay (2900 m) right at the beginning of the Peruvian Amazon zone.

Day 3: Chaullay - Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes
We wake up around 6:00 am with a cup of coca tea, then we will have breakfast. Around 7:00 am we will start our hike to Sahuayaco beach for approximately 5 hours, when we arrive to this place we will take the local transportation for one hour to the town of Santa Teresa, where we will have lunch, then we will continue by car for 45 minutes to the Hydroelectric and then we will walk 3 hours by the train tracks to Aguas Calientes where we will rest.

Day 4: Machu Picchu - Cusco
After breakfast we will start walking to the checkpoint of the Bridge of the Ruins for 30 minutes, which is open at 5:00 am, at this point you must present your passport and your tickets to Machu Picchu. After passing the first checkpoint, we will head to the main gate of Machu Picchu to arrive around 6:00 am.
In Machu Picchu we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, we will also have time to explore the Inca city of Machu Picchu. Then we will have to return to Cusco and we will have 2 options, you can do the train or bus option.
