We commence the private transfer from the location specified by you or our designated point. Following this journey lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we reach the entrance of the Samaria Gorge. An entrance fee of €5 applies upon entry; payment is required at the time of check-in.

The hike within the gorge commences at either Xyloskalos or Omalos, situated at an elevation of 1,200 meters. The length of the route measures 18 kilometers, with the duration varying between 5-6 hours based on individual fitness levels and walking speed.

Upon entering the gorge, visitors encounter diverse landscapes, including numerous spring-fed water sources, towering rock formations extending across the stream, mature oaks rooted in rocky terrain, fragrant herbaceous scents, and the presence of the Cretan wild goat (kri-kri).

As one progresses through the gorge's winding path, they may witness the iconic "Iron Gates" section, characterized by its extremely narrow width (approximately 3-4 meters). This challenging stretch offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty.

Following the hike, participants reach Agia Roumeli, where they can engage in refreshing swimming in either the river or the Libyan Sea. Post-hike refreshment options are available, along with purchasing tickets for the boat trip to Chora Sfakion, departing at 17:30. A brief journey of around 45 minutes leads to Chora Sfakion, where the driver awaits their return to the initial pickup point. The entire round-trip journey concludes after approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
