San Pedro de Atacama, Tour Geisers el Tatio

The diligent individual discovers geysers; among them stands Tatio, a renowned high-geyser field situated within the Andean Cordillera northeast of San Pedro de Atacama.

The peak manifestation of these geysers commences at sunrise, characterized by water temperatures surging to an astounding 85°C. Upon our return journey, visitors have the opportunity to witness diverse wildlife, including vicuñas, llamas, ñandus, and vizcachas. As we traverse through the flora, towering giant cacti, llaretas, coirona, and other remarkable plant species come into view. From this elevated vantage point, we can admire the quaint yet intimate community of Machuca, which consists primarily of herders and cheesemakers, their presence closely situated to the vicinity. Notably, near this location stands the Salty Lagoon, renowned for its vibrant congregation of flamingos, ducks, and seagulls alongside an awe-inspiring natural setting.
