Siem Reap, Kampong Phluk and Tonle Sap Sunset Boat Cruise

Explore the picturesque fishing village of Kampong Phluk aboard a sunset boat tour departing from Siem Reap. Enjoy scenic views as you navigate through the bustling streets and charming floating homes along the Tonle Sap.

You will be picked up between 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm from your hotel in Siem Reap and visited SATCHA, the first Cambodian handicraft center that incubates local artisans, integrating traditional knowledge with contemporary design to showcase Cambodian talent both locally and internationally and ensuring a lasting transmission of this knowledge through sustainability, social, economic, and environmental impacts. Subsequently, we will proceed straight to Kampong Phluk, the flooded and fishing village situated approximately 21 kilometers away from Siem Reap's city center.

Upon arrival in the lake port, we will embark on a local boat journey towards the renowned floating villages of Kampong Phluk. Here, one can witness how various families sustain themselves mainly by fishing. Many reside on the lake shores, residing on long poles amidst the colorful homes, making full use of the high water levels during the rainy season.

Next, we shall venture into the flooded mangrove forest adjacent to the region, which abounds with a diverse array of flora and fauna, such as crab-eating macaques and an estimated 3,000 inhabitants. Following our exploration of the mangroves, we will travel to a Buddhist monastery constructed upon an artificial island, where we may observe the beautiful sunset from a nearby local boat on Tonle Sap Lake.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Siem Reap City.
