Talkeetna, Denali Flight Tour with Glacier Landing

Fly to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and explore Little Switzerland and the Kahiltna Glacier before ascending to the Ruth Glacier and traversing the Great Gorge.

Upon arrival, guests may enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, or hot cocoa by the fireplace while watching a short flight video in our theater. Following this, they will undergo a safety briefing and be assigned a window seat.

Subsequently, the aircraft will embark on a journey towards the Alaska Range, flying above the Susitna Valley, which offers scenic views of moose and bears. A knowledgeable pilot will narrate engaging stories throughout the flight, bringing the group within striking distance of Denali’s imposing summit.

As the flight progresses, passengers will ascend along the Toki River Glacier, followed by an inspection of the impressive 44-mile-long Kahiltna Glacier, the longest in Denali National Park. In the warmer months, visitors have the opportunity to observe mountaineers setting up camp at Kahiltna Base Camp and potentially attempting to climb the summit.

The plane will then travel eastward past Mount Huntington, passing its southern face. Alongside these prominent peaks, guests will also see Mt. Foraker (17,402 feet or 5,304 meters) and Mt. Hunter (14,573 feet or 4,458 meters). The pilot will emphasize key landmarks such as Moose’s Tooth and Bear’s Tooth during the descent into the Sheldon Amphitheater.

Passengers will traverse over the Ruth Glacier and proceed through the world’s deepest gorge en route to their destination: the breathtaking Sheldon Amphitheater.
