Tumbes, Mangrove National Sanctuary

The Mangrove National Sanctuary offers an extensive area of mangroves, representing the largest contiguous stretch within the nation's boundaries. Additionally, this protected environment exhibits high levels of biodiversity, making it a valuable resource for ecological research and conservation efforts.

Upon arrival at the designated pickup point, guests will be promptly met and transported to the National Sanctuary of the Mangroves of Tumbes. Upon arrival, a welcome speech will be delivered by the President of the San Pedro Association, followed by an insightful presentation on local extraction practices within the region.

Following this introduction, guests will embark upon a guided tour aboard a fiber canoe, traversing several key waterways including Estero Gallegos, Algarrobo Estuary, and Zarumilla Estuary. During the journey, there will be ample opportunity for observation and discussion of the unique flora and fauna found along these channels.

A scheduled break will be taken for lunch, which shall be the responsibility of the passengers themselves. Following the meal, the group will return to the city of Tumbes, concluding their excursion with a smooth and efficient transportation back to the starting point.
