Players embark on an immersive journey where they investigate various crimes such as murder, robbery, and kidnapping, each offering unique challenges and solutions. Equipped with smartphones, a case file, and an arrest warrant code, players commence their quest at the crime scene, choosing their own path based on the clues presented.

Upon purchasing a Crime-Trail package, visitors receive a voucher code granting access to both the case file and the ability to generate an arrest warrant. Downloading the case file allows players to delve into the narrative and complete tasks at their leisure. The case file includes introductory materials and detailed instructions, accompanied by a QR code for immediate engagement. This file is exclusively available in German; however, translations may be available upon request.

Navigating to the designated crime scene, players are briefed on the situation and given the initial clue to unlock the next phase of the investigation. Communication with headquarters becomes essential as players share their findings and receive subsequent clues, gradually unveiling the mystery.
