From Como to Brunate, panoramic hiking

Simona and her canine companion, Gocciola, will embark upon a captivating journey along the renowned Poetry Way, commencing from San Donato in Como and concluding at the picturesque Voltiano Lighthouse via the Brunate Funicular. This excursion promises a comprehensive exploration of the enchanting landscapes of Lake Como and its environs.

The expedition commences at 9:00 AM, departing from Piazza del Popolo in Como. The final destination is reached at the Como funicular (valley station), where arrival is scheduled at 2:00 PM.

This suggestive itinerary offers an exhaustive appreciation of the natural wonders and cultural treasures surrounding Lake Como.

Starting point: San Donato, characterized by a strenuous yet inviting ascent consisting of over 400 steps.

Upon reaching Brunate, we proceed to ascend further, taking approximately one-half hour to reach the Voltiano Lighthouse, an architectural marvel that stands out uniquely amidst its surroundings.
