Travel Itinerary for Trekking in Eastern Nepal
Day 1: Departure from Kathmandu International Airport (KTM) by Airplane. Travel time approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Jomsom, commence the ascent towards Kagbeni, an elevation of 2,800 meters above sea level. This journey will take approximately 3 hours.
Day 2: Continue the trek through rugged terrains to reach Chele, situated at 3,050 meters above sea level. Expect walking hours of 5 hours or more due to varying terrain conditions.
Day 3: Ascend further to Geling, located at 3,440 meters above sea level. This day's trek will involve 5 to 6 hours of walking, depending on weather conditions and trail difficulty.
Day 4: Proceed to Tsarang, with its peak at 3,490 meters above sea level. Walk for 5 to 6 hours to reach this stunning destination.
Day 5: Embark on the final leg of your journey to Lo-Manthang, standing at 3,730 meters above sea level. This challenging hike requires 5 to 6 hours of walking.
Day 6: Enjoy exploration activities within Lo-Manthang, where you can explore ancient monasteries, traditional villages, and breathtaking landscapes.
Day 7: Return to Ghami, known as the gateway to Tibet, via a descent from 3690 meters above sea level. This segment of the trip takes 6 to 7 hours of walking.
Day 8: Make another stop at Chele, descending from 3,050 meters above sea level to a lower altitude area. This day’s walking duration is expected to be around 6 to 7 hours.
Day 9: End your adventure by returning to Jomsom, starting your descent after 6 to 7 hours of walking.
Day 10: Flight back to Kathmandu International Airport (KTM), arriving in less than 30 minutes.
