Embark on an unforgettable journey through the vast and surreal landscape of the Uyuni Salt Flat, where you will discover numerous captivating sites including the stunning Laguna Blanca and the enchanting Laguna Verde.
Starting today, Day 1, participants will depart from their accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama. Upon arrival at the border between Chile and Bolivia, they will transition to another mode of transportation.
Visiting points within the Bolivian Altiplano, participants will explore Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, situated near the Licancabur Volcano. They will also engage with the surreal landscape of the Desert of Salvador Dali, the thermal springs of Polques, and the geothermal features of Sol de Mañana. Their itinerary concludes at Laguna Colorada, where visitors can observe a diverse array of flamingos.
On Day 2, the group will commence with breakfast. Following this, they will visit Tomas Lakha, an area rich in Pre-Inca cave paintings. Proceeding, they will explore Italia Perdida, a site featuring volcanic rock resembling an ancient city. Subsequently, they will traverse Vinto and Calti Lagoons, witnessing the endemic wildlife characteristic of the Bolivian Altiplano. Further adventures await them at the Anaconda Canyon and the Sora Canyon before returning to their lodging in Colcha K.
Embarking on Day 3, participants will begin their journey early in the morning, starting with a guided exploration of the Sunrise at the Salar de Uyuni. This scenic view offers panoramic vistas over the vast salt flats. Participants will proceed to Incahuasi Island, a limestone formation positioned amidst the salt flats. Here, they will appreciate the unique geological formations and the surrounding landscapes.
Subsequent visits include the Salt Museum, allowing participants to learn more about the natural history and cultural significance of the region. Afterward, they will travel through the town of Colchani via a train cemetery. On reaching Uyuni, participants will bid farewell to their local guide and enjoy a leisurely meal before heading back to San Pedro de Atacama.
Closing Day 4, participants will once again embark on their journey, transitioning from their current vehicle to return to San Pedro de Atacama.
