Guided Tour of the Conservera
Conservas Ana María ofrece la oportunidad de realizar una visita guiada a su Galería de Arte de Anchoa, ubicada en Santoña y en Cantabria. Aquí, el visitante experimentará una experiencia sensorial única y inigualable, combinando la vista, el oído, la olfacción, la apetito y la sensibilidad táctil.
La visita comienza con una recepción emocionante: los visitantes escuchan la historia de la subasta mientras observan las sirenitas de la Lonja de Santoña, indicando que el pescado será vendido. Luego, se introducen al fondo marino, donde el visitante puede contemplar los utensilios utilizados en la tradición de la elaboración de anchoa, desde la época medieval hasta la actualidad.
Después de esta exposición, se presenta un video que muestra todos los pasos del proceso desde la captura del pez hasta su elaboración en tarros o latas. A continuación, se realiza una demostración práctica en vivo de cómo una artesana elabora un octavillo de anchoas, ofreciendo así una visión real de la labor manual implicada en este proceso.
Finalmente, la visita culmina con una degustación de estos productos elaborados, permitiendo al visitante experimentar la calidad y sabores de la anchoa conservada en sus instalaciones.

Participants will have an emotional reception as they listen to the history of the auction while observing the siren lights of the San Juan Market in Santander. They then enter the marine background where visitors can admire the tools used throughout history for anchovy preparation, from medieval times to the present day.
After experiencing the exhibition, participants watch a video showing every step of the process from catching the fish until its preparation in jars or cans. Following the demonstration, a live session shows how an artisan prepares a half-dozen anchovies, providing a realistic view of the manual work involved in this process.
The tour concludes with a tasting session of these products, allowing guests to taste the quality and flavors of the preserved anchovies produced by the Cantabrian region.
